Scholarship Programs

Recycling at West Virginia Cashin not only helps the environment but it also supports the development of youth. Money generated from recycling materials dropped off at the conveniently located separators in front of the Nitro facility provides scholarships for local youth. The scholarship program at West Virginia Cashin was developed to assist youth attend 4-H camp and high school students attending West Virginia University. The five recycling bins provide scholarships for ten youth in the local Nitro area. These programs were created from a partnership with the local West Virginia University Extension Office to provide youth healthier and more satisfying lives.

Over the course of the program, materials collected have helped increase the annuity to $250,000.
