Scholarship Programs
Recycling at West Virginia Cashin benefits the environment and supports local youth. Since 2008, proceeds from recyclables dropped off at our Nitro facility have funded scholarships for Putnam County youth attending West Virginia University and 4-H camp.
While we no longer need to add new funds from paper drop-offs, our existing scholarship programs are well-funded and continue to provide lasting support. A big thank you to our partnership with the West Virginia University Extension Office. These scholarships, funded through our foundation, will benefit the community for years. The fund consistently holds $200,000 annually for scholarship winners.
